Thor Espresso Bar

I have had the recent pleasure of partnering with Patrick at Thor Espresso Bar in Toronto (35 Bathurst Street) in redesigning their customer loyalty cards. Trust me - you will want to pick one up asap & get those lightning bolts stamped because their coffee is epic! The space is inviting, calming & engaging with it's Scandinavian influenced interior & beautiful mural by Toronto based artist Afo which creates the perfect place to begin & end your day in Toronto. 

Side note - get in while the weather is hot because they are also just launching their very own in house El Chinito Pops which are not to be missed!

Art On The Street / Guelph ON

With less than a week to go I am getting more & more excited about Art On Street this coming Saturday in Guelph, ON. With close to 100 artists exhibiting it is shaping up to be a brilliant day indeed - the sunny forecast is certainly appreciated as well. It will be my first time exhibiting as part of the festival & Im looking forward to sharing with others what I have been up to in the context of illustration & hand lettering. I will be selling prints, originals, gift cards & others small goodies to enjoy by all.

I will be at booth 29 which is located within the carpark space next to the Bookshelf & coveniently close to the food & drinks tent.

T-Shirt Collaboration

The Children's Art Factory

It is with great delight & excitement that I write this post in letting you know that I will be having a mini exhibition within The Children's Art Factory in Guelph, ON. Owner Melissa Mazar, has done an incredible job at creating a space that engages, inspires & evokes a sense of wonder for all children & children at heart. Located next  to With The Grain's Bakery on Woolwich Street, it is a bounty of inspiration & creative goodness.

I will be showing a small collection of my hand lettering & also a very friendly bear that I have been able to paint directly onto the wall for the opening. It is going to be a heap of fun - see you there. (Details coming soon!)

DVLB Mural Sample

Although there will be full bodied post about this mural (coming soon) that I recently had the privilege of completing at the ever inspiring whiskey & espresso bar in Waterloo - DVLB, I thought a little sample would be a good start while I get my act together. Thanks for your patience.

Karate Camp T-shirt Design

It has been a pleasure to partner with the Tri-City Martial Arts in designing a t-shirt design for their upcoming Karate Camp. I'm trying my very hardest not to make a karate kid reference in writing this post... man it is hard. I Hart Exhibition

It is a privilege to be a contributing artist for the i Hart Exhibition this year & am stoked to see the night unfold. Unfortunately I won't be able to make it in person, but to everyone who can - soak up the good times!

An Inspiring Evironment

I wanted to share with you a little insight into my daily surroundings & what inspires me in my art. I am a strong believer in the incredible influence that our surroundings can have on our creativity.

There are many beautiful surroundings outside of our homes, but let us never forget what is on the inside. Most importantly by far is the who & then secondary the what. The who (the greatest inspiration for my creativity) is my beautiful wife - Drea & the what are all these little collectables which each have their own unique stories. From the pad-lock given as a gift from NYC, the 'I Love You' letterpress type pieces, my ever growing collection of old medicinal bottles, all the way through to the two love birds sitting in our living room.

Take time to absorb your surroundings & be thankful for the small things.

Side Note - the illustration I am currently working in the photos is in collaboration with Junior Arts Collective based in Elora, ON. The final along with all the collaborative details will be posted soon.

Guelph Streets / Limited Edition Prints

In lead up to Art On The Street in Guelph which is only weeks away - I wanted to share a sample of what will be for sale at my stall (No. 29).

This limited (10) edition run of 'Guelph Street' prints that I have designed is hand screen printed by the very talented Gillian Wilson on 100% cotton, 11" x 15", white stonehenge paper.  Each print will be titled, numbered & personally signed.
