For The Love of Type

I remember growing up with such a fascination with letters that I would practise writing them all the time with my finger on any surface I could find. It probably looked a little strange seeing a little boy waving his finger around in the air & on walls, but I just loved the movement. The idea that these little lines created letters that in turn created words, sentences, conversations... possibilities - simply captivated my little mind. This captivation has only grown ( along with my little mind) & it is always a pleasure to share this love with others.

I had the privilege of completing the window below for the Children's Art Factory the other night in conjunction with my mini show within their beautifully created mini gallery. The type was inspired by the old ice-cream vans that I remember cruising our streets growing up, & the statement was something that came to mind when pondering the child within us all. The letters are part of what is being displayed & they are for sale if you would like to purchase.

Many thanks to Melissa for her support & for creating such an inspiring space for children & adults alike.
